Description
Literary Magazine's Oradea, Tomorrow, Ady focuses on the period of the birth of modern Hungarian literature, commemorates Oradea as a center of economic, commercial and cultural life, as well as About Tomorrow as a literary society and anthology, and Endre Ady. to the Ady Centenary. The first part evokes the spirituality of the turn-of-the-century Oradea in its diversity, thus not only in the context of literary history, but also in the context of local history, linguistics and music history. Then we give a taste of the works of the authors of The Anthology of Tomorrow: the works of Mihály Babits, Gyula Juhász, Ákos Dutka, Tamás Emőd, Jutka Miklós, Endre Balázs and Endre Ady. Further articles in the paper focus on Adyra - the modernity of her art, her lyrical love, the social and literary significance of her poetry, or the topicality of her oeuvre. Interviews with literary historians along the imaginary Budapest-Oradea axis point to the diversity of trends of the age and the cornerstones of its cultural organization. The compilation helps to understand the aesthetic, cultural and literary political dilemmas of the past, and highlights how Endre Ady's lyric and personality and the creative group of Tomorrow may have become part of the canon and even cult.
