Another 50 things you wouldn’t have imagined about the Romans

Continuing our volume "50 Things You Won't Have Imagined About the Romans" published six years ago, readers may once again encounter topics that would hardly come to anyone's mind at first about ancient Rome: abortion, internal repression, concrete, outlaws, miracle weapons, doping, electricity , deforestation, global warming, pets, perfumes, military medicine, conceptual lawsuits, public libraries, public cleanliness, ball games, malaria, Nile exploration, clocks and sundials, political humor, Silk Road, status symbols, theater seating, souvenirs. New to the previous volume is the topic of "afterlife", in which we list a list of the 10 best and 10 worst Roman-themed films ever made. In addition to the above, in the fifty writings of our volume, we have summarized many other topics that are interesting and surprising to the people of the 21st century in an easy, readable style, while striving for scientific thoroughness and authenticity. His main area of research is the history of the Roman Empire, with particular reference to its economic and social history. The Life and Works of Flavius Josephus (Kalligram, 2010). To date, more than a hundred scientific publications have been published in domestic and foreign journals, and the number of disseminating articles exceeds two hundred.
