Description
The editors of this volume made several attempts to determine their types based on the size, economic functions, population processes, demographic structure and financial situation of Hungarian villages in their book "Our Changing Villages" published in 2007. We can use any database, any methodological apparatus also, we could take into account only the main coordinates of the villages, the "sublimated" phenomena of the data in the creation of the type. On the other hand, it is also obvious that the situation, condition and image of a village and a local society are shaped by several other factors: the nature of the natural environment, the historical history of the settlement, the former ownership conditions, the and ethnic composition, traditions, values, way of life, tastes, habitus of their leaders, and so on. The "hard" factors and the motifs listed by no means exhaustive shape make each village an unrepeatable individual. We wanted to shed light on the diversity behind the village types obtained as a result of the "calculations" by describing the geographical and sociological descriptions of the 12 settlements selected from each village type. growing to Budakalász or Budajenő.
